Coaching is a personalized accompaniment based on an alliance between the coach and his/her client within the framework of a process of reflection and creativity, in order to encourage the latter to optimize his personal and professional potential. Coaching is oriented towards awareness and at the same time towards the search for concrete options that allow the coachee to take action.
Coaching differs from other disciplines with which it is often confused:
Consulting, because a coach does not give advice, except in very exceptional cases, when he/she feels that this advice can be useful to the coachee in order to move forward in his/her journey.
Psychotherapy, because coaching focuses on present and future situation with a goal to achieve and concrete actions to be carried out rather than an introspection focused on the past.
Mentoring because the coach does not pass on the lessons he has learned from a situation similar to that of the person he is coaching
Training because the coach does not transfer knowledge in order to create or reinforce the skills of his client,
