Coaching: an increasingly digitalized support, favored by the millennials

The growth and expansion of coaching's global reach has been steady and global since 2016. This is one of the findings of the 2020 Coaching Market Study conducted by the International Coaching Federation in collaboration with PriceWaterhouse (ICF is the largest international federation of coaches, with over 50,000 members in 156 countries).

Today, the typical coaching client is a person in his or her 40s, in a decision-making position. But the age of the typical client is decreasing. And this is not a coincidence, because coaching has become an expected support by the youngest talents within companies.

Coaching has also taken advantage of technological evolutions by developing online coaching modalities. The development of this "remote" modality, which appeared about ten years ago, has particularly accelerated in recent years. Not only does it suit the Y generation, the millennials, but it also allows to adapt to a fluctuating health context, at a time when forms of telecommuting and hybrid work are being implemented.
